A
North American leader in the manufacturing of heavy-duty trucks trusted Brockamp
& Jaeger to build this test center at their corporate headquarters. This
facility houses one of the industry’s most advanced engineering and design
systems. Freightliner is widely acknowledged as the technological leader in the
commercial truck manufacturing industry. Often times, “first” in the industry
when it comes to advances in research and development methods, safety, cab and
chassis design and vehicle electronics.
Challenges included implementing phased scheduling to
impose the least impact on other areas of the Freightliner campus during
construction. This project had a very short time frame to meet completion goals
which made it essential to solve problems on the fly. Brockamp & Jaeger
demonstrated their attitude of “whatever it takes to get the job done right, the
first time”. Twenty-eight percent of this project was completed internally by
Brockamp & Jaeger labor. Brockamp & Jaeger has developed a valued relationship
with Freightliner with over 20 years of working on various sized construction
projects.
