He has a demonstrated track record of success in completing projects through coordinating trades, developing partnerships, and building positive rapport with architects, engineers, local officials, vendors and clients while maintaining costs. Rod is accustomed to handling multiple contract negotiations, project estimating, impending design problems, document preparation, building code and regulations, material purchasing and site management through certification of occupancy.

2009 - Current

Project Superintendent: Brockamp & Jaeger, Inc. Supervises all aspects of commercial construction projects. As superintendent, his responsibilities include:

  • Managing day to day activities on the site

  • Leading weekly subcontractor meetings

  • Responsible for site safety and safety plan implementation

  • Obtaining daily sub-contractor reports

  • Keeping daily electronic project log on site

  • Check in and inspect deliveries for compliance with specs

  • Coordination of job site activities

  • Maintaining project schedule

  • Coordination with owner’s staff

  • Personnel supervision

2006-2008
Director of Construction
Directed a staff of 21 to establish of senior living facilities in five Western states – managed contracts of over $80 million annually.

Senior Purchasing Manager: LSI Logic Corporation, Gresham, Oregon
Monitored and evaluated 81 real estate holdings and managed construction projects world-wide.

Contracts Administrator/Purchasing Manager: Gresham, Oregon
Managed $210 million of construction contracts for factory expansion.

  • LSI Logic Energy Center: $8.9 million steel framed building addition

  • Mentor Graphics Child Learning Center: $1.6 million addition

  • Alpha High School, Portland, OR: $4.2 million, 16,000 square feet

  • Echo Shaw Elementary, Forest Grove: 7,000 square foot addition

  • LSI Logic Water Fab Building: $121 million high tech expansion

  • Central Processing Building: 160,000 square foot steel building

  • ASIC Water Fab Building: $250 million joint venture with Malaysia

  • AC Transit Bus Maintenance: Three new $10 million facilities
